Pseudo

DOB: 14th September 2006
Adopted: 28th October 2006, from AristocRATS Rattery
Sex: Male
Colour: Black
Coat pattern: Hooded
Coat type: Fluffy! Pseudo’s coat is rather nice. It’s long, silky and shiny. Unfortunately he sheds… a lot. It looks as though we own a cat if we wear dark clothes.
Pseudo in 5 words: Cheeky, funny, carefree, playful and friendly.
Favourite things: climbing the cage exterior, eating, wrestling with Oreo, hand wrestles, hand tag, jumping, finding hidey holes, going out of bounds.
Naughtiest stunts: If Wulfman’s stunts weren’t so obvious then Pseudo would win the title of Naughtiest Rat. But his stunts are far sneakier. You can never turn your back on him as he will scamper off to where he shouldn’t be. He is the only rat we have ever ‘lost’:
- From the moment we first got Pseudo I knew he was trouble. He was far too confident, quick and agile. If he wasn’t climbing the verticle blinds he was jumping off the bed… something the other rats never had the guts to do.
- Escaping for three hours when Wulfman pushed the cage door open on the holiday cage at Maw and Paw’s (it hadn’t been latched securely enough). We searched all over the house and finally heard him jumping around under the bed. How he made it under there I don’t know (it’s enclosed, with drawers on all sides).
- Upon our return to our house here at the coast and the rat mansion Pseudo would continualy get out. If the door was left open, even for a minute he’d climb to the top and slide down the back. The one time I forgot to close it (something that was never an issue with the others as they stayed put) I saw him out of the corner of my eye wandering into Phil’s cupboard.
- Before long Pseudo found the way to the floor off our bed which is the main freerange area. He then showed the others the way down.
- So we rat proofed the room as best we could, but guess who found the weak spot? (under the bedsides)… Pseudo. Again the others followed his rebellion. Needless to say this ended in a chewed speaker cable and the rats are now strictly kept on the bed.
- The annoying thing (and a blessing I guess) is how cocky Pseudo is. Everytime you find him doing something naughty he lets you move him without a fuss. He will then bounce a little and hop right back to where he was.
